Nehe Nehe (36) v. Tanehopuwai (0).
J This match was played on the Te Kuiti ground on Saturday and was only an exercise canter for the Nehe Nehe team. The public who attended were, however, treated to a really good afternoon's fun by the burjesqueness of the game for no other term would be applicable. As the Tanehopuwai team took the ground they presented a very bizzare appearance, and reminded one of what Attaches on the warpath would some with sleeveless jerseyf and some minus that garment entirely- Nevertheless, there are one or t\f o promising players in the TanehopuVai team > but that 1S about all. v*
Mr Berry controlled the game in an impartial manner not being too severe on the visiting team.
The All Black team played their first match in Australia in their present tour, on Saturday, and beat New South Wales by 21 ponts to 8. The English professional team under Northern Union rules at present touring Australia, won their first match against New South Wales on Saturday by 26 points to 10.
