Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Auckland, report having held their usual weekly fat stock sale at Westfield on Wednesday, 12th inst.: —

Cattle.—A large yarding. Prices on the whole were lower than last week, especially on medium quality ox and cow wheh were 10s a head less. A few choice pens of ox sold at up to 19s 6d ppr lOOlbs; others at ISs 6d to 19s per ' lOOjbs. Sheep.—A large yarding. TJierp wefe few heavy weight prime wethers yarded, the majority of the entries consisting of medium quality wethers and ewes. Prices were a shade lower than last week. Heavy prime wcther3 Bold at up to 16s, medium quality and light weight wethers 13s to 14s Gd, fat ewes heavy up to Ma, medium weights 10s 6d to 12a Gd, lightweights and inferior 8s Gd to 9s Gd. Lambs.—A large yarding. Prices were Is per head lower than previous sales. Prime tegs fetched to Ms. heavy weight prime 10s 6d to 12s Gd, good quality medium weights 8s Gd to 10s, light and inferior quality 7s to Bs. Pigs.—A small yarding which sold at last week's rates.

On Thurdsay at Westfield we held our weekly sale of store cattle. Good quality 3 to 4 year old steers arc worth £5 5s to £5 15s, 2b year steers 5s to £4 15s, yearling steers 35s to 50s. Good quality dairy cows are keenly competed for aid best quality arc worth £5) £o £ll, medium £6 to £B, inferior £3 iQs f;p £5.
