On Saturday last Mr C. B, Lever — who has established himself in Te Kuiti as auctioneer, produce merchant, etc—held his opening sale at his rooms in King Street, when there was a very fair attendance, pne! the gaje passed ofl; satisfactory, especially to the buyers, who secured numerous bargains. It is Mr Lever's intention* to hold these sales regularly every Saturday, and also fruit sales evny Wednesday during the fruit season, and there is no doubt the public will appreciate Mr Lever's efforts to supply their wants.
