It is intended to make the sports ! meeting an annual event, and every j effort will be made to secure the sane- : tion of the Axemen's Association to ; have one of the championships of New j Zealand decided at Te Kuiti. in 1911. Messrs Chilcott and Albrechtsen have kindly donated a cup as a points prize, and Messrs Hitchcock and N. C. Matthew have also donated trophies for the boys' race. The assistance of the townspeople to make the sports a success will be appreciated by the Committee. The next meeting of the committee will be held in the "Chronicle'' ePHcc on Thursday evening, January 6th, 1010.
