TE KUITI SCHOOL PICNIC

The annual picnic and presentation of prizes in connection with the Te Kuiti public school took place at the school grounds on Friday last. Special preparations had been made for the function,parents and children co-opera-ting to make the gathering an enjoyable one. The day was beautifully fine and the grounds during the day presented an animated scene. Foot racing was indulged in by the children, all the classes from the infants to the highest standards being catered for. The headmaster and staff were kept busy throughout and their efforts i were ably seconded by several of the committee, the Rev. Mitchell, Mr VV. Adams, and others. Special prizes were donated by Mrs Langmuir, Miss Pine, Messrs Sims, Albrechtsen, Chilcott an I Mathew,while a liberal supply of sweets was forwarded by Messrs Green and Colebrook and Mr Lever. The refreshment stalls during the day were presided over by Mesdamc-s Adams, Hitchcock and Dillicar, who were assisted by a number cf other ladies.
