THEATRICAL.

A large audience greeted the appearance of the Belle Crome Company in the Town Hall on Tuesday evening, and were not disappointed with the splendid programme submitted. In fact it was a noticeable feature that every item was loudly encored. This company has a high reputation and rightly so, for each member is a "star," in his own speciality, and together form a most pleasing combination. Miss Maude Jefferson has a beautiful clear soprano voice, which was heard advantageously in"Sing, Sweet Bird,""Killarney." and "Comin' thro' the Rye." Miss Belle Crome was much appreciated in her rendering of "You shall live in a Chalet," and also her manipulation of the sleigh bells and hand bells. She is also an accomplished violinist, and her solo, "U Trovatore," was pleasingly rendered. Mr W. Ernst Crome was quite at home as pianist, and also took part in the bellringing. In his comedy sketch with Miss Crome he played the part of "poor, ill-treated husband" to perfection. Mr Harry Fane took part in the bellringing, and also in the mandoline duet, sleigh bell items, and the humorous medlies. The two jugglers, Charles and Will Aanold, were excellent, and the many funnyisms of "Flirt," caused great applause. And last but not least, was Mr Will Hughes in his original budget of comicalities. The house was a continual roar of approval during the whole period of his "turn." 1! ~e songs "Dotty," and "Put a hu:i- : r. on the Top," were aniens hi- L> On Wednesd;. appeared in an <•:.?!
