TE KUITI SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
A meeting of the abovr committee was held on Monday evening last, in the "Chronicle" office, the following were present: Messrs Sims, chairman; Dillicar, Nicholson, Me Naught, and Matthew. The minutesof the pr«vi«us meeting were read and confirmed. The Chairman reported that he had several works done, which were authorised at the last meeting. A tetter was received from the Secretary of the Auckland Education Board stating that the request from the Te Kttiti School Committee to have £ls spent to form an entrance to the school ground had been considered by the Board, and they had resolved to defer for the present the consideration of the committee's request.
In reply to a request that an extra assistant be appointed to the school, the Board replied that: "The Board had no power to appoint an additional assistant teacher to the staff until the school shall have a yearly average of let or an average for three quarters of 165, for two quarters of ITO or for one quarter of ITS. In either case the school would be entitled to an extra assistant teacher/'
The visiting committee reported that they had visited the school during the month and had found all going smoothly. A committee was appointed for the ensuing mon th.
Accounts having been passed for payment the meeting adjourned until Monday, November 29th.
