BOWLING CLUB.
Matters in connection with the securing of a ground for the Te Kuiti Bowling Club are proceeding satisfac torily, and those who are interested in the game will be pleased to learn that a communication has been received from the Hon. Buddo, Minister for Lands, stating that the Club could go ahead with putting down the green as the ground could be ransferred to Trustees on behalf of the Club.
A meeting of the committee of the Club was held last night in Mr Mussen's office, when the matter of ways and means was discussed. A scheme for raising sufficient money to lay down the green was propounded, and the project will be laid before a general meeting to be held at Mr Mussen's office on Monday evening next. The scheme will probably include the laying down of a croquet lawn adjoining the bowling green, and the erection of a small building to serve as a temporary pavilion. The members of the committee are to be congratulated upon the result of their efforts to secure a ground for the popular pastime, and the green will undoubtedly be a fine attraction to the town.
