TOWN BOARD MEETING.
Te Awamutu Correspondent. The usual monthly meeting of the Te Awamutu Town Board was held on Thursday evening last when all the j members were present. ; Correspondence.
Sale3*ards: The Treasury wrote asking for information and forwarding forma for completion. A second letter was received from the Treasury saying Act prevented them from advanc ing money. Sale of Property to Smedly. Commissioner of Crown Lands wrote saying Department could not do anything in matter.— The matter was left in the Chairman's hands. Letter was read from Tennis Club expressing thanks for donation. Accounts passed for Payment Honiss £G Os 6d; Gilford and Dunkley £l2s; Melville, Go'dsworthy and Co. £-19. The Town Board Clerk handed in his resignation owing to offices not being shifted to his premises as agreed upon, when appointed. Mr C. Bowden was appointed to fill the vacancy.
