OTOROHANGA S.M. COURT

A sitting of the Court was held in the Hall before Mr Loughnan, S.M , when the following business was disposed of:— James Gardner v, Hiki: Claim, £8 ITs 9d. Defendant did not appear, and judgment went by default for amount claimed with cost 3 £1 3s. Corlett v. Ross: Mr Howarth appeared for the Plaintiff and Mr Finlay for Defendant. J his was a milking case, and the defendant had a targe counter claim in for breach of contract. The plaintiff had been milking for the defendant Ross on his farm at Kio Kio, on the share syatt-m. There was a very large nutnbjr of witnesses supoened on both sides, and these were ordered out of Court. The case for the plaintiff was closed by his counsel, but as the hearing of the evidence for the defence and also the counter claim seemed likely to last another day, His Worship adjourned the case until next sitting of the Court.
