PIOPIO SCHOOL SITE.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Kindly allow me through the medium of your valuable paper to pass a few remarks on the recently acquired school site at Piopio. Now, school sites are not uncommon in this country, but when one is forced upon us by a hopeless minority of the intersted householders, Farmer Giles naturally wants to know the why and wherefore. I would now like, on behalf of the ignored majority, to know if those responsible for the action will explain why their proceedings were masked with such profound secrecy. Also, will your correspondent of recent date kindly inform me where eight thousand of Crown land, destined for immediate disposal is to be found within a half mile of the acquired site. Before closing I would ask those interested in the Paemako School to keep alive to their interests. A candid explanation will oblige.—l am, etc., AD VALOREM.
