Oil Saturday next the Union fixtures are Nehenehenui v. Mokauiti at Aria, and Te Kuiti v. Oparure at Te Kuiti. Mr Elliott will referee at Aria and Mr Mr Meckin at Te Kuiti.
It is understood that he Nehe team intend proceeding to Aria on the Friday in order to give them a chancs of showing their best form in the match. If the Nehenehenui register a win against the country team, they secure the championship for the season. If Mokauiti are victorious the three teams: Te Kuiti, Nehenehenui, and Mokauiti will be level, and another round will have to be played to decidt the premiership. At present the position is highly interesting as the game on Saturday is voted to bear 2 decidedly open aspect. The following team has been selected to represent the Nehe team in their match against the Mokauiti fifteen at the Aria ground on Saturday next:— Full: Brown; threequarters: Ron, Grey, Hikaka; five eighths: Turei; half: Tuheka; wings: Hira, Torn Ngarongo; forwards: Whare, B. Anderson, Toki, Griffiths, Wallace, Taylor, Searancke. Emergencies: J. Rata, H. Turner, Chas. Searancks, Wi Kio. All players are requested to turn up at the Meeting House at 11.30 a.m. on Friday, to make the journey to Aria. As there is a probability of several of the selected players being unable to accmpanj- the team, the reserves are specially requested to turn up, The following players will represent Mokauiti:— Full: Burnell; threequarters: Huingahau, Hurley, Ormsby; five eighths: McColl; half: Reardon; wings: Cleaver, Smith; forwards: Peehi, Wishaw, Cleaver, Kilmartin, Houghton.
