THE SCHOOL CADETS.

The Te Kuiti school cadets are rapidly being worked into a state of efficiency and in a very short time will compare more than favourably with other similar corps in the country. They are extrarrely fortunate in having the services of Captain J. Nicholson, whose gratuitous efforts and great interest in the corps should be highly appreciated. As yet the work of the cadets has been chiefly confined to field exercise, and the quickness and capability of the boys is noticeable in this branch of their duties. rt is now intended to give the boys some steady shooting practice, and with this end in view they will visit the range on Friday afternoon when the following teams selected by the N.C.O. will fire a match:— —Col.-Sergt. T. Hetet's Team— M. Hardy, V. Cole, E. Bowden, H. Mathews, G. Buckworth, M. Power, F. Berkahm, J. Mclnteer, J. Walsh, K. Hetet. —Sergt. W. Hetet's Team.— H. Wi, C. Stanton, P. Anderson, R. Willis, W. Hitchock, G. Forsyth, S. Nicholls, T. Langmuir, W.Albrechtsen, C. Dillicar.
