BURNS-JOHNSON PICTURES.
The above company opened at Tc Kuiti on Thursday night to a good house, despite inclement weather. Chief interest was centred in the pictures connected with the famous contest for the world's boxing championship, although an excellent series pi miscellaneous piy'Ujrer, yma presented. The pictures showing the training operations of the famous fighters were full of interest and conveyed a vivid id*a of the manner in whfch athletes require to train in order to become world famous. The dense and struggling masses of people outside the Stadium awaiting the opening of the doors were excellently depicted. The whole of the second part was taken up with the contest itself from the inter* esting ring preliminaries, showing Johnson objecting to the bands on Burns' elbows, and arrangement of details, to the dramatic ending, and the final paying over of the Stakes in the rins;. The fight was shown round by including "corners, "and was followed throughout with interest by the big audience present, many of whom at times cheered one or other of the contestants in their excitement.
