Te Kuiti v. Mokauiti.

Tbc game at Piopio resulted in a somewhat easy win for Te Kuiti by 19 points to nil. The teams were fairly evenly matched in forward play, but the visiting backs proved too good, their combination and scoring ability being the chief factors in securing the victory. Spragg at five-eighths, was a tower of strength to his side. He made numerous openings, and his pace proved vary serviceable. Tries were scored for the winners by Spragg, Howartb. and Taylor, all of which were converted by Spragg, and F. Kerr kicked a goal from the field. For the losers Moir at five-eighths, did a lot of work and nipped in the bud many openings. Coburn also acquitted himself well when openings came his way, but the efforts of the Mokauiti backs were mainly confined to defence. With more practice the team will give a better showing later on.
