On Saturday evening last a general meeting was held of all those cnthuaia«ts interested in forming a local football chtb tbii reason. A fairly large gathering was present, and Sir Irvine was elected to the chair. It was decided to form a dob for the season, the following officers being elected: Patron—Mr H Valder. President-Mr J. Gray. Vice-presidents—Messrs R. Taylor, H. Burnand, J. Orr. A. Worm, Wehi. T. Kawe. senr, J. Hunter. Committee—Messrs H. Johnson. F. Gallagher, J. Rhodes, B. Reston. A. Skelkrn. Secretary— B. W. Hayson. Treasurer— W. O. Irvine. Delegates to be Union—Messrs Irvine and Hayson.
It was decided to seek affiliation with the Maniapoto Rugby Union immediately, and the secretary was instructed to write away to that effect.
