ARIA.

(Own Correspondent). The thrice weekly coach, run by Mr Lewis, between Te Kuiti and Aria,is a decided acquisition to the district, providing, as it does, an easy mode of access to more "civilised** parts. It would also, be very desirable that the aail for this and surrounding districts be carried by the coach. It would thus arrive here at an hour which would make it possible for recipients of let* tcrs to reply to same in plenty of time to catch the return mail. As it now stasn the mail arrives here about 4 p.m. en each Priday, and the return mail closes at Aria store at 8 p.m. on the following mornnig. which arrangement makes it extremely inconvenient. if not impossible, to catch the aforesaid moil. It is to be hoped that the authorities will shortly awake to a sense of this deficiency, and remedy same at once. The supply of milk and cream to the Aria Dairy Factory is fast on the wane, and, if the present dry weather continues, we may expect an early closing down of same. It has been en the whole a successful season and great hopes are entertained for next season. Under the" rod of iron" control of Manager Goodwin, these hopes should be more than futftlled. Agsatral store, in connection with the efery factory, is to be opened by Mr Townshend, and in the meantime. orders are being taken at the factory «nd forwarded to Auckland. This is a vesy laudable enterprise, and should merit a fair share of support. A spectre, which takes the shape of a White Horse, ha t been seen a good deal of late th the neighbourhood of the Kifcikini road. Cart anyone explftin?
