On Wednesday fast a meeting was held fo» connection with the proposed saleyard. Mr €». EMk>tt wad in the chair. Sir WVccs attended «n behalf of Messrs Jensen Bros., and submitted • pton «f the proposed yards for con•fateratfon. The plan came in for favourable comment, and wiß probably be accepted «»th some minor alterations, jfr V. S. H. attaway has donated a pitee of jgreond for a site and with a HtttC move work on the part of those interested the yard shootd be an accomplished fact. At the same meeting the question of establishing a batter factory in the district was discussed. A good miov bor of settlers promised from 20 to J»0 cow* •**»♦ * nd > fc was decided that those present form themselves »nto a working committee to canvass the district for shareholders. 11 was decided to bold another meeting on March 6th at Ptopio to receive the report »»f the committee. The prospects of a better factory for nest season are of the be»t and there is Uttte doubt of the indostty being started on good lines.
