TAR ANAKI LAND BOARD.

The usual monthly mating of the Tnranaki Land Board was held at New Plymouth on January t!)th. There were present, the Commissioner, in the chair. Messrs Hestop. Rattenory. Conaett and MeCtuggage. The following business of interest to the King Country was transacted: Transfers: Mrs Hope and Miss Macfartanetoj. G. Robinson.section t. block 9. Otnara; and B. Maefartane to Janet Robinson, secion 9. block 9. Ohura. —Decided that the applications could not at present be granted. E. A. Mac* donald to E. W. T. BornePF. section 1. block ll.Totoro. Inferred for further inquiries. T. O'Ponnelt to- H. W. James,, section 2;). btoek It. Aria. Application refused.

Miscellaneous: J. B. Bennie applied for an extra extension of time to acquire the freehold of section I**, block &V Ohura. for one month from the date of a declaratory fadgment proposed to be obtained by the Crown. It was resolved that the request be granted. Plan of deviation of Vera Road and Rfano and Waihafca Roads was laid on the table.—lt was resolved that the titles be"Wmended accordingly.

S. ElJMereditb applied again for a lease of section 5. block tf. Ohura. for the purpose of erecting a wootshed and •beep yards. The Board declined to deal with the land at present. J. Collins applied for lease of section 9, block 9, Toroto. The lease wa* issued.

C. G. Coventry applied for remission of rent on section 9, block 6. Aria.

The Board could not see its way to grant the request. The following selectors applied for remission of rent:—R. W. Deneh. section 1«. block IS. Aria: D. W. Simth. section 1. block 9. Pooao. T. R. Ethcrmgton. section 274, block 15. Arte. —AM were declined. Messrs 54* Donald and Rote applied for part section 4. block IS. Ohura. to be included in their holding. The •Batter was left in the Commissioner's bands.

E. Tolme also reported on the application of J. H. Roche to select Crown lands opposite section 3. block 2, Heao The application was refused. A. R. Kefghtey applied on behalf of the Aria residents for a site for a pubIk ball. The Board could not see its way to grant the request.
