TE KUITI LOAN.
Information has at length been received by the Waitomo County Council that the money for the town loan is available for expenditure. The County Chairman, Mr Jer. Ormsby, has been in constant communication with the Treasury Officials, and early in the week received a telegram intimating that if the papers were all in order the money would be made available. On Friday a further telegram was received placing the money at the disposal -of the Council. At the last meeting of the Council, when discussing the matter of next meeting it was pointed out by the Chairman that the loan money might come to hand at any time. In order to provide that no delay should take place, the matter of calling for tenders for Te Kuiti and Mangaorino loans was left in the hands of the Chairman and Councillor Scholeß to,* deal with. These gentlemen are to meet on Wednesday and tenders for the Te Kuiti street works will probably be called immediately.
