The slackness in the timber trade continues, and millers in various parts of the Dominion are feeling the pinch severely. Owing to the reduced demand for timber at the prevailing prices, it has been 'decided to close the
sawmills in the Mastcrton district for the lime being. The owners of the mills in the district belonging to the Wairarspa Sawimllers' Association have noli lied employees that work will
