MANGAPEHI.
(Own Correspondent.) The local Tennis enthusiasts have at last had their efforts crowned with success, and have now a court of which they are justly proud. After many more or less unsatisfactory attempts, they have laid down a surface which offers splendid opportunities for good tennis playing. The pavilion having also been completed, gives the court a neat and finished appearance. The official opening of the Court for the 1908 season is to be held on Saturday afternoon next. Mr J. Gray, will per° form the ceremony, after which the opening sets will be played. Splendid weather has prevailed in this district during the past few weeks and is such as to give a pleasant foretaste of summer, most welcome _to j those who are accustomed to the King > Country rains. j
