MANIAPOTO RUGBY UNION.
A meeting of the Maniapoto Rugby Unu n was held on Wednesday in Mr Sims' Temperance Hotel, Te Kuiti, Mr Mora aunt, president, in the chair. The following delegates attended:— Messrs Fouiuwera and Searancke representing Nehinehinui, and G. Elliott, Piopio - Te Kuiti and Oparure not being officially represented. Messrs Lusk and Mclndoe were also present, together with Messrs Bowles and G. Poutuv/era, in the interests of the game. A lengthy discussion took place over the failure of the Union to appoint referees for the matches of the nrst round. The second round of fixtures was then arranged, and a definite referee appointed to take charge of each match. June 13th, Piopic-Te Kuiti (Piopio), Mr Lusk, subject to clubs agreeing. Nehinehinui s-i-ol Oparure be' allowed to meet on June nth, at Te Kuiti (Mr Elliott), as some of these players were going into military encampment oil June 13th. The same applies to Nehinehinui-Te Kuiti match. Date of same to be fixed later. June 20. —Ooarure-Piopio, at Oparure (Mr Lusk). Te Kuiti a bye. June 27. —Nehinehinui v. Piopio, at Te Kuiti (Mr Lusk). Oparure v. Te Kuiti a' Oparure (Mr Reid). Tulv 4. —Te Kuiti v. Nehinehinui (Mr Lusk). At his own request Mr Steele was relieved of the duties of selector, and was replaced by N. B.
