SOUTH AUCKLAND RACING CLUB.
The South Auckland Racing Club met at the Royal Hotel on Monday last, when Messrs I. Coates, J. Knock, John Primrose, F. C. Hand, J. Dalgleish, A. j. Storey, J. Knight and the Secretary (Mr W. I. Conradi) were present. The protest put in by the owner of Tua Kitua against the irial Stakes -going to Tui was upheld, that horse having wen over the amount stipulated, and the first money will accordingly go to Tua Kitua, and the second to Nulla Nulla. It was resolved to invite a friendly conference with the Waikato A. and P. Association with a view to getting a more secure tenure of the course and appurtenances. The dates 26th and 27th February next were suggested for the next race meeting, and will be submitted to the Metropolitan Racing Club. The Secretary reported that when outstanding members' fees were paid in, the profit of the meeting would be approximately £2OO, and the Club would be able to pay off the balance of old indebetness and start with a clean sheet next season. This was considered a most satisfactory state 0i aiiairs. A vote of thanks to the chair terminated the meeting.
