N.Z. FARMERS UNION.
Te Kuiti Branch.
The annual meeting of the above Union was held in Mr Mussen's office on Saturday evening #ast, there being a fair number of members present. Mr Jas. Boddie was in the chair. With reference to the letter received from the Otorohanga branch re the appointment of a special constable for the Waitomo County, it was resolved that in the opinion of the branch the time had not arrived to make such application to the Police Department. The names of twelve new members were handed in. The election of officers for the ensuing year was then proceeded with : President, Mr Jas. Boddie; Vice-Pre-sident, Mr M. A. Mackenzie ; Secretary, Mr H. J. Mussen ; Auditor, Mr L. Mackenzie ; Executive, Messrs R. Somerville, A. McCardle, W. Price and C. Cornish. It was resolved that Mr J. Boddie represent the Te Kuiti branch at the Provincial Conference. On the motion of Mr Pine, seconded by Mr Knauf, the amount of the annual subscription was left over over for consideration at the next meeting, to be held on Saturday, May 2nd.
