Tuesday—Before Mr Cutten, S.M,
For being drunk at Makatote on 23rd March, J. Nicholson was fined lOs and costs. A. Murphy was also fined £2 and 33s costs for using obscene language at Makatote. A game of " two-up " at Matapuna cost two young men £2 each and costs. Fisher v. Toa. —Judgment for £l 15s lid and costs £1 14s 6d. Same v. Henake.—Adjourned till next Court day, defendant allowed 10s expenses. T. Hill v. Toa. —Judgment for £5 9s 7d and costs £l 8s 6d. R. Bell, Karena and C. Haddon were charged with fighting in the main street, Taumarunui, and fined £1 and costs. J. Kiel v. Cunningham.—Assault. After hearing the evidence the case was dismissed. Garmston v. Ay ton. —Assault. Evidence was taken and defendant was fined £3, and costs £3 lis.
