Mr Mordaunt was voted to the chair and explained the objects to be derived from such an institution. He stated that: already one meeting had been called for the purpose of securing' the services of a medical man for the district, and he thought that the opening of a lodge at Te Kuiti would be the means of giving more assistance lo the project.
