STOCK SALES.

The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, report as follows At Morrinsville on the 7th inst. we had a yarding of 120 head of cattle and 1000 sheep. There was a great enquiry for cattle, but for sheep there was keen competition, and all sold Small fat steers steers £6 to £/ s s . cows and heifers £4 5s to £5 ss, heifers in calf £3 10s to £3 I/s 6d, store cows 25s to 455, 181 longwool ewes in lamb 18s gd, good woolly hoggets 14s, heavy fat ewes 18s, 600 fat and forward shorn hoggets lis lld to I2s 2d, good stores 8s 6d to 10s Bd. At Hamilton on Thursday we had one of the best yardings of stock since the new yards opened, 99 fat and forward bullocks, 64 fat cows and heifers, 270 mixed store cattle and 499 sheep. There was an enquiry for all classes, and although prices showed no improvement, every lot, with the exception of 20 head, was disposed of. Small fat steers £6 ios to £7 lOs, heavier weights £8 7s 6d, well-bred for-ward-conditioned bullocks £5 to £6 ss, heavy, aged cows £4 15s to £5 lOs, good quality fat heifers, light weights £4 6s to £4 I2s 6d, 2-year-old steers £3 2s to £3 9s, 18-month steers £l 17s to £2 13s, 18-month heifers £l lOs to £2 4s, good calves 20s to 26s 6d, fair calves 15s to 18s, smaller sorts ios to I2s, fat wethers 17s 6d to 20s, fat ewes 16s 3d to 18s, fat hoggets 15s 6d, store hoggets lis to I2s 6d, choice ewe hoggets 17s 6d, ewes in lamb 18s. All sheep sold.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report as follows: — On June 7th, at Ngaruawahia, we held our Turnip Cattle Sale and offered 650 head. All grown cattle in in forward condition were keenly sought after and all sold. Forward steers £6 5s to £7, 3-year steers £5 is to £5 14s, forward cows and heifers £3 15s to £4 12s 6d, fat cows £6 ss, 2 and 2%-year steers £3 10s to £4 is, 15 and 18-month cattle £2 5s to £2 13s, yearling to 2-year-okl quick heifers 37s 6d to £2 ios, store cows, 25s to 32s 9d, mixed yearlings £1 13s to £2, strong calves £1 4s to £l ss.
