The Congregational Church Mission has only been estadlished at Te ICuiti about six months, and the Rev. R. Mitchell has been working hard towards the building of a church in this centre. A suitable site has been, secured and matters are now in train for the early erection of the building. The plans and specifications for a structure to cost about £175 are expected to be ready within a few days. An amount of between £3O and £4O is in hand towards the building, and a like", amount is still required to complete the sum necessary to start with. It is proposed to hold entertainments in the shape of concerts and a sale of work to assist in obtaining the necessary funds. The annual examination of the Oparure Native School was held by Mr W. Bird on May 31st, and out of 30 pupils presented, 29 passed.
