OTOROHANGA.

The annual meeting of householders, for the purpose of electing a School Committee, was held on Monday last, when the following gentlemen were returned :—Messrs Cater, Burnand, Johnson, Ormsby, Forster, Furber and Oliver. The report of the outgoing committee detailed the work of the previous year, and the school fund account showed a balance in the bank of £l4 3s. The attendance averaged 103 for the year, bein#&n increase of 7.4 from the previous year. The roll number showed an average of 125.6 for the year, being an increase of 9.5 from the previous twelve months. Ten scholars won first-class good attendance certificates and five were awarded second-class certificates. The school examination was held in November last and resulted in a very favorable report- from the Inspector.
