TE RAU-A-MOA.
A meeting was held on Saturday night last for the purpose of formulating a scheme to build a hall._ Mr Honore presided, and, in explaining the object of the meeting, suggested the formation of a company to undertake the project. After 'the matter had been discussed it was decided to build the hall by public subscription, and a committee, consisting of Messrs Noonan (Chairman), Le Prou, Allcock, Randall, Ormsby, Parkinson and Shaw was elected for the purpose of carrying oil the work. Sites for the hall were offered by Messrs Le Prou and J. Ormsby, and Mr Le Prou's offer was accepted as being the most suitable. The district generally is showing signs of progress, and the land values are increasing. Several sections have changed hands recently, and improvements are being effected on all sides.
