MAIROA.

The Mairoa settlers who are raising sheep are reported to have had a good lambing season. Messrs Chestnut and Voyce have each averaged close on 100 per cent. The site for the projected post-office at Magaohaeor Ngapaenga has not yet been decided upon. It has been suggested that in view of the probable settling of Ratanui it will be advisable to have the new post-office at Mangoahae with the service running through Ratanui, where an office will also be eventually required. This would necessitate the opening of a separate office ot Ngapaenga, which could either be worked direct from Mairoa or. continued from Mangaohae.
