MELBOURNE, Dec 18 The Hon. W. P. Reeves addressed a meeting at Trades Hall. He declared that labor legislation in N. Z. had proved decidedly beneficial. SYDNEY, Dec 19 Tug boat and pleasure steamer collided in Sydney harbor. Two girls, aged 7 and 6, drowned. Several others had narrow escapes. Queaabeyan newspaper gives currency to report that a high authority states that identity of William Cresswell with Roger Tichboriie will shortly be established beyond doubt. ADELAIDE, Dec 19 Assembly passed Woman’s Suffrage Bill. Only alteration in committee was in direction of granting women right to vote by post ; amendment is conditional on Legislative Council’s assent.
