CHRISTCHURCH, May 21 In reply to deputation from Women’s Christian Temperance Union, the Premier promised to bring matter of establishment of Inebriates Home before his colleagues. The deputation urged that Govt should prevent issue of a public house license at Cheviot. The Premier said Govt would give no special facilities for licenses, but if transfer was contemplated that was a matter vested in the Licensing Committee, and Govt could not interfere.
