PAEROA rugby union LOSS 0$ TWO YOUNG PLAYERS At Monday night’s annual meeting of the Paeroa Rugby Union the president, His Worship the Mayor, Mr Edwin Edwards referred to the loss of two former players who had been killed on active service, Pte. J. Wald-’ ron and Flight-Sgt. A. Cridge. Both these men had been wellknown to the people of Paeroa, especially on the field of play. Pte. Waldron had represented Paeroa at football and had been a player of much promise while Flight-Sgt. Cridge had also been a keen footballer. The union was definitely poorer by their deaths. A motion -of sympathy with the relatives was passed, the meeting standing in silence. .
