RATES FOR PRESENT YEAR HAURAKI PLAINS COUNTY When the estimates of the Hauraki Plains County Council for the 1944-45 year were considered at the April meeting of the council on Wednesday it was agreed to give notice of intention to strike a rate equal to that struck last year. It is estimated that the general rate will be 4d in the £ on a valuation of £840,000 and will provide £14,000.
