CROQUET IN PAEROA

ONE-DAY TOURNAMENT GAMES PLAYED ON DOMAIN The second one-day tournament to be held on the Paeroa Domain this season by the Paeroa Ladies’ Croquet Club proved a most enjoyable fixture. Singles ’ of 20' minutes each were played throughout the tournament and all competitors thoroughly enjoyed the day. Mrs Ratliff proved the winner in the A section while Mrs W. Wylde was the winner in the B grade. VISIT FROM WAIHI MOST ENJOYABLE DAY On Tuesday last a team of eight players from the Waihi Croquet Club visited the Paeroa lawns and friendly games were played between the two clubs. The lawns were in perfect order and the weather conditions ideal. Although the Waihi players proved I too strong* for the local ladies a most enjoyable day was spent by all.
