WOMEN’S DIVISION

MEETING AT KEREPEEHI THANKS FROM LOCAL SOLDIERS The monthly meeting of the Kerepeehi Women’s Division was held in the Kerepeehi Hall on Wednesday afternoon, Mai’ch 22. Mrs I. M. Harvey presided. The creed was read. The secretary read the balance sheet for the Paddy’s market and dance held on February 29, also the card evening held for a special donation to the rest homes. Letters of thanks for parcels received in perfect condition were read from the following soldiers, Sgt. D. C. Land, Pte. J. A. Smith, in Italy and Gnr. A. J. Braithwaite, Pte. H. Warner, Pte. L. D. Clark, Spr. G. Crisp in the Pacific. It was decided to send cakes as usual at the end of the month. Mrs Bennett kindly offered to collect for same.

The secretary was instructed to thanks Mesdames L. Bennett, W. Bailey, W. Chick, and H. Jamieson, for donations arid help given for the Paddy’s market.
