SOCIAL NOTES

Mrs S. Carr, of Auckland, is visiting Kerepeehi as the guest of Mrs J. W. Thompson. Mrs R. Carr, who has been on an extended holiday with her daughter, Mrs J. W. Thompson of Kerepeehi, has left for Auckland. Mrs G. Charlton and Mrs Allsop of Huntly were the guests of Mr and Mrs D. Shilton, Kerepeehi, during the week-end. • Miss .Stella Hayes, Te Awamutu, is visiting her parents, Mr and Mrs A. Hayes, Kerepeehi. The many friends of Mrs E. A. Vowles, Komata, will he pleased to know she is home again after being an inmate of Thames Hospital for several weeks. Miss I. Thorpe, Komata, has returned home after holidaying at The Mount. Mrs I. Defeur, Howick, has returned home after her visit to Rocky Point, Komata. Mrs V. Montgomery who has been holidaying in Wellington, Hamilton and Auckland, returns to Ngatea at the week-end. Miss J. Rabe, relieving postmistress at Ngatea for the past three weeks, left for Thames last Tuesday. Mrs J. J. Nicholson of the Puke left this week to take up residence at Karapiro. Mr Nicholson, who for the past five years has been attached to the Public Works Department staff at Paeroa is now transferred to Karapiro. They will both be greatly missedby their many friends in Netherton and Paeroa.
