WEDDING BELLS

Osmond—McCullough BRIDE IN MAGNOLIA SATIN St. George’s Church, Thames, was the scene of the wedding recently of Miss Eleanor Montieth McCullough, only daughter of Mr and Mrs l F. E. McCullough, Sealey street, Thames, and Staff-Sergeant Leonard Arthur John Osmond, of Ohakune, who has recently returned from overseas. The Rev. K. R. R. Small officiated and Mr C. Lidington was organist. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a graceful gown of magnolia satin, cut on simple lines with draped bodice and full skirt extending into a slight train. Her edgeembroidered tulle veil was held in place with a coronet of lilies-of-the valley and orange blossom and her shower bouquet was of mixed white flowers, with touches of palest pink begonia. The bridesmaid, Miss Marie Price, wore a picture frock of celeste blue georgette, a cluster of pink and blue asters on her hair toning with her bouquet. Corporal F, Timanus, of Waihi, also recently returned, was best man. After the ceremony, a reception was held in the Hotel Imperial, where the guests were received by the bride’s parents. Mrs McCullough wore a black ensemble relieved with, black and while striped crepe, and a shoulder sprayof white clematis. Mrs OSmond-, the bridegroom’s mother, wore a navy georgette gown with a corsage of pink asters, and a blue tagel straw hat. The bride travelled in a dark grey tailored costume, with black and grey hat and black accessories to match, with shoulder spray of scarlet begonias.
