GAY STORY & GAY MUSIC PROGRAMME AT REGENT -CF .“WHISPERING GHOSTS” ALSO. A gay story, gay music and a cast of gay performers are the popular elements combined in Universal s “How’s About It” which will show at the Regent Theatre on Friday and Saturday. The famous Andrews Sisters are starred in the new musical which features Robert Paige Grace McDonald, Shemp Howard, Mary Wickes and Walter Catlette. f Buddy Rich known as the Nation’s No. 1 drummer, and his orchestra supply additional rhythm and entertainment.

“How’s About It” is described as a lively concoction of romantic happenings which take place behind the scenes of the music publishing business. Laughter and lots of it, is promised throughout the picture and musical specialties are said to -be generously interwoven into the story’s breezy action. Songs Listed Five songs are introduced by the celebrated sisters. They are “Going Up,” “East of the Rockies,” “Don’t Mind the Rain,” “Take it and Git,” and “Here Comes the Navy.” The latter tune designated as the official theme song of the U.S. Navy recruiting stations, is heard for the first time on the screen in the new picture. At his slap-happiest, Milton Berle makes his first starring screen appearance in 20 th Century-Fox’s “ Whispering Ghosts,” which will, also show at the Regent Theatre on Friday and Saturday. Playing the part of a radio crime detective who solves mysteries over the air, Milton sets a laugh packed pace when he finds himself aboard a mystery ship trying to discover where the jewels are hidden and just what is going on . Supported by beauteous Breiida Joyce and a cast of screen favourites including John Shelton, John Carradine and Willie Best, the film wends its way through one hilarious situation after another, with plenty of thrills and chills thrown in for good measure.
