POSSESSION OF .22 RIFLE CASE BEFORE PAEROA COURT For being in possession of a .22 calibre single-shot rifle without a permit Denis John McNeil was convicted and ordered to pay costs 10s by Mr W. H. Freeman, S.M., in the Paeroa Court on Monday. Constable J. L. Brown stated that the rifle had been left with McNeil by a man who was now overseas. McNeil had no authority to use it. It was a dangerous rifle and had been the cause of a serious accident at a shooting trip.
