NGATEA PLAY THAMES BOYS BEATEN, GIRLS WIN REPRESENTATIVE TEAMS MEET Representative cricket elevens both boys and girls, from the Ngatea District High School, visited Thames recently to play teams from the Thames High School. Ngatea girls were successful in defeating Thames by 62 runs to 38 in the first innings and 90 to 30' in the second. Thames boys defeated Ngatea by 34 runs with still two wickets to fall. Refreshments were provided for the teams and appreciation of the day’s sport was expressed by the visitors who were under the supervision of Mrs B. J. 'Careen' and Mr A. J. McCarthy.
