PAEROA AHEAD

WASTE PAPER COLLECTION COMPARISON FIGURES FFORT IN LAST 6 MONTHS That as far as waste paper collections is concerned Paeroa is facing up to the task as well and in fact better than most other towns of equal size was shown by figures supplied by the National Council for Reclamation of Waste Material to a recent meeting of the Paeroa District Patriotic Committee. Actually the figures disclosed that in most cases towns of equal population had in most cases not collected half as much waste paper as Paeroa during the past six months. The following are figures showing waste paper collected by the various town (cities excepted), throughout New Zealand during the six months, April 1 to September 30, 194'3:— *

The Mayor, Mr Edwin Edwards, stressed the urgent need for waste paper and appealed to all to keep up the good work. ,
