ROLL OF HONOUR

DIED OF WOUNDS TPR. L. W. FISHER, MARAMARUA Trooper Lawrence Wilfred Fisher, who has been reported to have died of wounds, was the husband of Mrs C. Fisher, and the onty son of Mr and Mrs W. Fisher, of Maramarua. He was in his 30th. year and was edubeen spending his furlough in Kereschools. After leaving school he was farming in the district. Trooper Fisher volunteered for the territorial Forces at the outbreak of war, and served with the Waikato Mounted Rifles. He was commissioned soon afier Japan’s entry into the war, but resigned his commission in July, 1043, to go overseas. He was a keen horseman, and was well known in show rings and as a member of the Maramarua Hunt Club.
