THAMES 9 A.M. TRAIN ADVICE FROM WELLINGTON The move by the Thames Chamber of Commerce to have the 9 a.m. train from Thames restored' has not met with success, according to advice received from Mr James Thorn, M.P., to whom, with the Minister of Railways, telegrams containing the chamber’s representations were sent. Mr Thorn has sent the following telegram to the secretary of the Thames Chamber of Commerce: “Reference train service from Thames as per your telegram, regret that under existing conditions restoration nine o’clock train impossible, but department has agreed to attach fish van to Taneatua express at Paeroa Tuesdays and Thursdays.”
