FLYING-OFFICER M. J. TAYLOR KILLED ON ACTIVE SERVICE Reported killed on active service, Flying-Officer M. J. Taylor was the son of Mr and Mrs G. H. Taylor, of Tui road, Point Chevalier. Mr Taylor was formerly headmaster of the Paeroa District High School. Flying-Officer Taylor was formerly on the staff of the Napier Intermediate School and had been on service with the R.N.Z.A.F. for several years. As a sergeant-pilot he went to Malaya with the New Zealand squadron which was on operations against the Japanese.
