GIRLS’ CLUB

MEETINGS AT WAITAKARURU PRACTICING FOR A CONCERT The Waitakaruru Girls’ Club has started once more and are keenly practicing for a concert which they intend having shortly to add to the patriotic quota for the district. With a membership of over thirty, the practices are being well attended. A more ambitious programme is being arranged than formerly and costumed plays and dances besides the singing, for which they have gained much praise, should be added attractions. Miss Winsome Gordon is the new secretary, and Miss Mary Stretton treasurer. Mrs W. Wallace is the organiser.
