ARREST THE DRIFT

QUESTION BY MR SUTHERLAND PROMPT ACTION URGED Primary production councils and producers realised the necessity for prompt attention to arrest the drift in primary production in New Zealand, said Mr A. S. Sutherland, National M.P. for Hauraki, in the House of Representatives. Mr Sutherland asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he would bring down at the earliest possible date the new plan mentioned in the Speech from the Throne to assist in maintaining and increasing primary production. Members were anxious to peruse details of the new plan, he said.

The Minister’s reply will be circulated later.
