ELECTION ADDRESSES
MR J. THORN OPENS CAMPAIGN •KARANGAHAKE & WAIHI BEACH Mr James Thorn, Labour candidate for Thames, opened his election campaign with well-attended meetings in Karangahake and Waihi Beach at the week-end. He reviewed the Government’s achievement in -connection with the Social Security Act and the war effort, and received a most friendly hearing. At both meetings a resolution thanking him for his work for the Thames constituency and expressing confidence in him as M.P. for Thames, was carried unanimously.
